We offer three types of rooms. All our guests also have access to a kitchen, balcony, barbecue, fire pit and place for tents, and parking space. On our territory in the rooms we can comfortably accommodate up to 15 people. And we also welcome travelers with tents.

Tourist attractions near Cypress

The Cypress guest house is located in a unique place in Lori region of Armenia

We are located 20 kilometers from the border with Georgia, at the top of the picturesque Debed Canyon. The climate in this geographical part of Armenia is characterized by mild winters without frost and comfortable summers with cool nights.

Nearby are several UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Armenia — the monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin. Within walking distance is the Akhtala fortress-monastery, as well as the castle of Mikael Aramyants just 500 meters from our guest house. Half an hour away, in the village of Sanahin, the house-museum of the Mikoyan brothers is open to visitors.

Our region is famous for its lakes with blooming lotuses and sources of drinking mineral waters, where we will be happy to arrange a picnic for you. In the heat, swimming in a mountain river near Cypress will not leave you indifferent either.

Extreme sports enthusiasts can find caves and trails for hiking, mountain biking, off-road driving. On our territory you can pitch tents for a comfortable and safe rest.

Aramyants' Castle

Mikael Aramyants in the Russian Empire was one of the most influential and famous people of the Caucasus, as well as a visionary and philanthropist. He left an incredible legacy in Georgia and Armenia. The cypresses that Aramyants brought from Japan, which gave our guest house its name and continue to delight us here to this day.

Akhtala

Akhtala is famous not only for its fortress and monastery, but also for its copper mines. The Statue of Liberty was cast by the French from local copper. And Sergei Parajanov filmed his movie "The Color of Pomegranates" here.

Haghpat

Haghpat, surrounded by mountains and villages, was a kind of academic town of medieval Armenia, a university and a center of scholarship. The monastery school taught grammar, oratory, philosophy, and theology. The monks did more than just copy books. There was also a printing house.

Sanahin

The buildings of Sanahin, built at different historical periods, form a harmonious architectural ensemble — the abode of famous medieval Armenian academics. It is no coincidence that in the 11th century, the largest book depository of its time was built here.

House-Museum of the Mikoyan Brothers

Born in a village where there was no school, brothers Anastas and Artem Mikoyan made it famous as a politician and aircraft designer. It is worth a visit if you want to honor the memory of the creators of the "Book of Tasty and Healthy Food" and the legendary MiG fighters.
